The track is expected to be part of the band's next release, which is yet to be announced
Baroness performed last Friday, the 8th, in Houston, Texas, and played their unreleased track "Borderlines" there .
The track was played live for the first time at that show, shortly after a snippet of it was released on YouTube. Heavy and powerful, the new song is expected to be part of the band's new album, which is still untitled and has no release date, although there are already some rumors that the album's name will be Gold & Gray , following the band's pattern of naming their works after colors.
“Borderlines” features frontman John Baizley accompanied by new guitarist Gina Gleason , who replaced Peter Adams in 2017, venturing into vocals. Although the studio version of the song has not been released, the live version features an instrumental passage that is completed with keyboards.
Baroness is currently touring with Deafheaven and Zeal & Ardor , a tour that will end on April 12th in New York. Two days later, Baroness and Deafheaven will perform at the Decibel Metal & Beer Fest in Philadelphia.
